It is the 60-degree V4. I have been doing some research on different OMC V4 lower units and fitment. The 60-degree V4's ran from (I believe) 1995 until now. WebTap the seals into the housing with a bearing driver and mallet -- the lips of the seal should face the propeller. Apply white marine grease to the lips of the new seal. Apply white marine grease to a new bearing carrier O-ring and seat the O-ring in the carrier groove. Wipe the carrier surface on both sides of the groove clean with a shop towel.

If you remove the 3 starter motor mounting bolts and move the starter out of the way you should be able to access the pin / bolt that attaches the shift rod to the lever. It would be a really good idea to disconnect the negative cable at the battery for safety before you begin.
